Airport and Railway

Khorramabad airport with a history of over 60 years is one of the oldest airports in the country. Fortunately, in recent years, there has been an increase in the number of passengers and cargo flights in this airport. Khorramabad airport development plan includes increasing the current area of 5,200 square meters to 10,000 square meters, lengthening the runway with a length of 420 meters, improving the runway strength, developing apron and terminal, constructing a new pavilion and meteorology building with a budget amounting to 520 billion rials. This project that is being directed by provincial officials headed general governor, will pave the way for landing and taking off  of large planes, establishing department stores and restaurants, and constructing cargo terminals for exporting the goods produced in Lorestan.

Railroad

The province had 11 railway stations. Length of the railway is 190,358 meters, including 155,000 meters of main lines, and  28,358 meters of secondary lines and 7,000 meters of industrial and commercial lines which is under construction.
